Krucible’s founder, Kelly Schmidt has a decades-long tenure in the AEC industry operating in key roles on contracting, design engineering, and owner’s representative teams with a specialized focus in alternative contract delivery. Throughout her career, Kelly has successfully led and contributed to winning pursuits ranging from the tens of millions to hundreds of millions. In 2023, Kelly led the development and delivery of the Oregon Department of Transportation’s (ODOT's) awarded $450 million Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods (RCN) grant for the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project in Portland, Oregon. ODOT’s RCN grant award is the largest in ODOT’s history and in the USDOT’s Fiscal Year 2023 RCN program.
